PEACEMAKERSof Puducherry Council
Our vision

A generation that leads by serving.

We picture a Puducherry — and eventually an India — where young people don't wait to be invited into leadership. They build it where they stand, together, and for everyone.

North star

To develop principled student leaders who strengthen their communities through education, service, innovation, and collaboration — never through partisan politics.

The line we hold

Non-partisan, by charter.

The council does not endorse political parties, candidates, or campaigns, and takes no position on elections or the exercise of government power.

This isn't neutrality for its own sake. It's a promise that keeps our doors open to every student, from every background — so the only thing we compete for is who can contribute the most.

“We build leaders, not candidates.”

From the POPC founding charter, Article I.

How we get there

Three horizons.

Near term

Every partner campus has a thriving council chapter running weekly programs.

Mid term

A trained student leader within reach of every young person who wants to grow.

Long term

A national, non-partisan network of student councils sharing one open playbook.

Guiding principles

The commitments behind every decision.

01

Leadership Development

Structured mentorship, public-speaking labs, and hands-on project ownership that turn students into dependable leaders.

02

Education

Peer learning circles, skill workshops, and scholarship guidance that widen access to opportunity.

03

Community Service

Volunteer drives and neighbourhood partnerships that put civic responsibility into daily practice.

04

Innovation

Idea sprints and build weekends where students prototype solutions to real problems in their community.

05

Collaboration

A non-partisan network connecting campuses, mentors, and institutions around shared goals.

06

Youth Empowerment

Platforms, funding, and stages that give young people the confidence and tools to act.
